We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Director of Finance & Business Support to oversee all financial operations of our hotel. In this strategic leadership role, you will safeguard the hotel's financial assets, drive profitability, ensure compliance, and provide key financial guidance to the Executive Team. You will serve as the primary contact for owners (in collaboration with the GM), auditors, regulatory agencies, and senior stakeholders on all financial matters.

What you'll do:

As Director of Finance & Business Support, you will be responsible for leading the hotel's finance function and providing strategic financial direction to support business growth and operational excellence.

Financial Leadership

• Develop and manage the annual operating budget, providing analysis and recommendations to maximise profitability.

  
  

• Monitor financial performance, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable insights to the teams.

  
  

• Review pricing strategies with the DOSM and participate in commercial and sales strategy discussions.

  
  

• Oversee cash flow management, working capital, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and collections.

  
  

• Evaluate capital investment opportunities and analyse return on investment for major projects.

  
  

• Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled accurately and on time.

  
  

Governance & Compliance

• Maintain robust financial controls, accounting standards, and compliance procedures.

  
  

• Ensure all accounting practices comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.

  
  

• Manage relationships with auditors, tax authorities, owners, and external stakeholders.

  
  

• Oversee hotel contracts, supplier agreements, and service contracts.

  
  

People Leadership

• Lead, develop, and inspire the finance team through coaching, performance management, and succession planning.

  
  

• Create a high-performing and collaborative work environment.

  
  

• Ensure team members have the knowledge, training, and tools required to excel in their roles.

  
  

• Foster strong partnerships across departments to support operational and commercial objectives.

  
  

Guest & Business Support

• Support an exceptional guest experience through effective financial processes, payment solutions, and dispute resolution.

  
  

• Partner with operational leaders to drive informed decision-making and sustainable business performance.

  
  

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  
  

• 4–8 years of experience in hotel finance, accounting, or auditing, including leadership experience in an Assistant Controller, Financial Controller, or similar role.

  
  

• Strong understanding of hospitality finance, budgeting, forecasting, payroll, asset management, taxation, and financial reporting.

  
  

• Proven ability to analyse financial data and translate insights into business results.

  
  

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  
  

• Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage. Preferably knowledge of the Dutch language.
