What are your responsibilities?

In event planning there is never a dull moment, if you are enthusiastic about hospitality, well organized, have excellent communication skills with attention to detail than we are looking for you!

At the Amsterdam Marriott we take meetings and events to the next level. We strive for excellence and we do this by offering Meetings Imagined, Next Gen Meeting Spaces and the Meeting Services App.

In your role you coordinate and own events either via telephone, mail and internet in a friendly, efficient and prompt manner. You are a dedicated host and a direct link between the guests and the hotel’s operational departments.

At our hotel the event booking centre handles the contracting phase. After the contract has been signed, the group is owned fully by the designated event planner. Apart from detailing the event requirements you are actively engaged in maintaining an accurate financial forecast for events.

What makes you the perfect fit?

To be eligible for this position you…

• Have previous experience working within an Event Planning department or similar environment is preferred;

  
  

• Have preferable knowledge of Opera and Marsha; 

  
  

• Are enthusiastic, passionate and motivated; 

  
  

• Are accurate and detail oriented in work;

  
  

• Have a proactive sales approach towards customers; 

  
  

• Can keep up the team spirit! 

  
  

• Have good knowledge of the English and Dutch language; 

  
  

• Want a part time employment of 30 hours a week.
